We live in a world that relies on communicating and the technology that helps us do just that. A friend of mine that currently has cell phone service with a big name mobile carrier made the switch to a company called Republic Wireless. What a great FUCKING idea this company has put out there. Seriously, why haven’t we seen more carriers do this? Republic Wireless uses a resource that is readily available at almost any restaurant, retail store or any common household. That resource is:
WiFi
Republic Wireless has an all WiFi plan that gives that customer unlimited talk, text and data (via WiFi) for only $5. Yes…..$5! This is all done through VoIP. But if you need more than just WiFi as most of us would, there are plans that range from $10 to $40. The $40 plan gets you unlimited everything through WiFi or cellular connection but does throttle your data usage after 5GB. This should actually work for the majority of smartphones users as most of us on average use in between 2-4GB of data per month.
What a deal Republic Wireless is! I just bought a phone at full cost to keep my unlimited plan with my big name carrier but if something comes along where I can hop on to Republic Wireless, I most likely will.
